Very nice hotel and staff. It was a bit hard to find so that’s why I rated it 4 instead of 5 stars. It’s on the 5th floor btw. Also the bathroom smelled like sewage a few times coming from the drain, but it cleared on its own. Great location also!

Our stay at the Gran Hotel Inglés was absolutely exceptional and one of the highlights of our trip to Spain! The hotel perfectly blends modern luxury with its rich historical heritage, creating an atmosphere that feels both elegant and welcoming. The rooms were incredibly comfortable and beautifully designed, with outstanding amenities — including a huge exterior bathtub that added a true touch of luxury and relaxation after long days exploring Madrid. The food was excellent throughout our stay, and the bartender crafted some truly fantastic cocktails and mocktails that quickly became part of our nightly routine. The location is simply unbeatable, just minutes from the world-famous Museo del Prado and surrounded by countless shops, bars, restaurants, and historic sites. We especially loved being only a couple of blocks away from the renowned Estimar Madrid seafood restaurant. We highly recommend Gran Hotel Inglés to anyone visiting Madrid who appreciates luxury, comfort, history, and an outstanding central location!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The rooftop was definitely the highlight of our stay. The hotel itself was a bit busy, but the service, breakfast, and amenities were excellent

Excellent experience

I was traveling in Madrid with my family and stayed at this hotel for the location. The location of the hotel is so central. You are literally in Plaza del Sol in 2 mins. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Upon arrival we were greeted with champagne and a ticket for a free drink to be used at any of the restaurants. I missed my dinner reservation our last night and they called the restaurant and got me a table. When festivities closed down taxi access to the hotel, they helped us with our luggage and ensured we got in our cab. The piano bar was amazing and the pianist were top notch. They had crowds of people attending the Cabernet show they host. I wasn’t able to go but it was well attended every night we were there. I would highly recommend the hotel.
